A minimum of any 6 bottles is required for each winery you purchase from. We also require bottles to be purchased in increments of 6 as wines are packed and shipped in 6-bottle cases
The 2024 Light Red Blend brings together fruit from two contrasting vineyard sites highlighting both freshness and depth. Organic Shiraz 65 is sourced from the Mazzy Sands Vineyard at Maslin Beach planted on fertile Ngaltinga Formation clays while Tempranillo 35 comes from Block 19 a heritage vineyard planted in 1974. This combination pairs the vibrancy of coastal Shiraz with the structure and savoury nuance of old-vine Tempranillo.In the winery the wine was built from three distinct parcels to enhance complexity while maintaining drinkability. A portion of the Shiraz was vinified as a dry red and matured in seasoned French hogsheads for softness and shape while another portion was made as rose to lift aromatics and freshness. The Tempranillo was handled in a bright fruit-forward style. Once blended the wine delivers balance vibrancy and an easy modern expression of McLaren Vale.

Tasting Notes
Pale ruby in colour. Lifted aromas of lavender and summer berries. The palate is fresh and juicy showing raspberry and cherry with subtle spice hints of blueberry and floral notes finishing clean and vibrant. Best served chilled.

This wine really shows Shiraz in a lighter chillable style. The lower tannins keep it fresh and easygoing which also makes it incredibly versatile at the table it pairs with so many dishes and fits just as comfortably at a casual lunch as it does with dinner. The wine was delivered by GSO Courier early this am and was in perfect shipping condition. The bottle temperature was cool to the touch which is amazing given we have been hitting 37C every day for the last week here in our California summer.

I have put the wine into our temperature controlled bottle storage to let them rest for a week (mostly for the 3 bottles of red). I did put one of the Rosés in the frig which we will try tomorrow because we are out to dinner tonight with friends.
Your Rose of Virginia is my favorite rosé, above French and Californians that we have consumed with Tablas Creek “Dianthus” from near Paso Robles being a second.
Now that we have experienced a shipment from you, I am sure we will order a couple of cases more but will wait until weather is cooler for us and the wine.
