A minimum of any 6 bottles is required for each winery you purchase from. We also require bottles to be purchased in increments of 6 as wines are packed and shipped in 6-bottle cases
Syrah is a structured and expressive red wine from the Coal River Valley Tasmania. Our approach to this cool-climate Syrah is to deliver a balanced profile offering rich dark and red fruit notes layered with a consistent presence of savoury spice and white pepper. The wine is crafted to showcase both plush generosity and firm velvety tannin structure supported by a driven acid line. The winemaking typically involves a period of extended skin contact and maturation in French oak often balanced with a component of stainless steel to ensure freshness and regional fidelity.

Tasting Notes
This expressive Syrah opens with a vibrant bouquet of red confectionary jubes and nostalgic fruit pastilles layered with ripe blackcurrant and tart redcurrant aromas. A subtle hint of fennel seed adds a savory herbal lift to the nose. On the palate rich flavors of milk chocolate and dark cherry unfold with plush generosity. The wine is structured by firm velvety tannins and carried by a driven acid line that gives energy and length to the finish. A polished yet playful Syrah with both charm and depth.

100 destemmed. 10 days on skins. Matured for 8 months in 50 French Oak and 50 Stainless steel.

The wine was delivered by GSO Courier early this am and was in perfect shipping condition. The bottle temperature was cool to the touch which is amazing given we have been hitting 37C every day for the last week here in our California summer.

I have put the wine into our temperature controlled bottle storage to let them rest for a week (mostly for the 3 bottles of red). I did put one of the Rosés in the frig which we will try tomorrow because we are out to dinner tonight with friends.
Your Rose of Virginia is my favorite rosé, above French and Californians that we have consumed with Tablas Creek “Dianthus” from near Paso Robles being a second.
Now that we have experienced a shipment from you, I am sure we will order a couple of cases more but will wait until weather is cooler for us and the wine.
