A minimum of any 6 bottles is required for each winery you purchase from. We also require bottles to be purchased in increments of 6 as wines are packed and shipped in 6-bottle cases
Inception formerly named Estate was born with a 2000 vintage when we only had one variety shiraz and one wine in our range. It showcases the ancient Cambrian soils the region is famed for. Cellar 15 years.

| Wine Style | We utilize traditional winemaking practices such as small fermentation tanks natural fermentation i.e. no yeast additions and gravity feeding. Whilst this can be quite labour intensive we believe it ensures the preservation of natural fruit flavours and the Heathcote terrior character. As with all varieties produced at Sanguine Estate the grapes were destemmed lightly crushed and then naturally fermented with wild indigenous yeasts in small open fermenters. The wine is then transferred via gravity to avoid pump shock to predominantly French oak barriques approximately 30 new and left to mature for approximately 18 months. |

Tasting Notes
Deep purple color very concentrated and bright. All the characters you expect from a great Shiraz vintage dark fruits herb notes liquorice and black pepper its all there. On the palate the concentration continues with rich soft black fruits dominating but kept in check with some background tannin and a spicy finish.
Winemakers Notes
Ill admit that I am awestruck by this vintage of Inception. It offers everything I love about Shiraz. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and balanced Shiraz. Looking back over the last 23 vintages of Sanguine Shiraz I know this cooler climate soft rich style goes the distance Winemaker Mark Hunter.

The wine was delivered by GSO Courier early this am and was in perfect shipping condition. The bottle temperature was cool to the touch which is amazing given we have been hitting 37C every day for the last week here in our California summer.

I have put the wine into our temperature controlled bottle storage to let them rest for a week (mostly for the 3 bottles of red). I did put one of the Rosés in the frig which we will try tomorrow because we are out to dinner tonight with friends.
Your Rose of Virginia is my favorite rosé, above French and Californians that we have consumed with Tablas Creek “Dianthus” from near Paso Robles being a second.
Now that we have experienced a shipment from you, I am sure we will order a couple of cases more but will wait until weather is cooler for us and the wine.
