A minimum of any 6 bottles is required for each winery you purchase from. We also require bottles to be purchased in increments of 6 as wines are packed and shipped in 6-bottle cases
Elderton was transformed from a vineyard supplying quality fruit to other wineries to a winery in its ownright in 1982 and have since won much recognition for all of the wines especially the Shiraz. BarossaShiraz is now highly collectable worldwide and the Elderton Estate Shiraz is always a benchmark forthe region.The fruit for this Shiraz was traditionally sourced from the Elderton vineyard situated on the banks of theNorth Para River Nuriootpa Barossa Valley South Australia. For several years our Estate Shiraz hascome from our vineyards in Nuriootpa Greenock and Craneford. In 2024 we introduced a 4th vineyardto the mix our Mengler vineyard. Another expression of Eden Valley here with a real brightnessof fruit and a very taught tannin structure. This vineyard right on the edge of the Barossa Valley athigh altitude is a very welcome addition to our portfolio we are super excited with what is to comefrom this vineyard.

Winemakers Notes
After a cool season in 2023 things began to dry out again. We didnt receive our average quota of winter rains leading to an early and warm start to the season. This left some vineyards vulnerable to frost damage which we observed to a small extent in Nuriootpa. The ripening season was long and mild allowing for both decent flavour and tannin development and an excellent balance in our wines. We love the way our 4 vineyard sites work together in the Estate Shiraz to create a wine with structure fruit and freshness resulting in a true Barossa expression of Shiraz. Post fermentation in our open vats with both heading boards and pump over cap management our single batches were put to a combination of new and used French and American oak for malolactic fermentation and maturation before final blending time. - Jules Ashmead Brock Harrison

The wine was delivered by GSO Courier early this am and was in perfect shipping condition. The bottle temperature was cool to the touch which is amazing given we have been hitting 37C every day for the last week here in our California summer.

I have put the wine into our temperature controlled bottle storage to let them rest for a week (mostly for the 3 bottles of red). I did put one of the Rosés in the frig which we will try tomorrow because we are out to dinner tonight with friends.
Your Rose of Virginia is my favorite rosé, above French and Californians that we have consumed with Tablas Creek “Dianthus” from near Paso Robles being a second.
Now that we have experienced a shipment from you, I am sure we will order a couple of cases more but will wait until weather is cooler for us and the wine.
