A minimum of any 6 bottles is required for each winery you purchase from. We also require bottles to be purchased in increments of 6 as wines are packed and shipped in 6-bottle cases
Rich aromas of blackberry and forest floor, followed by a beautiful body with integrated spice and savoury notes, reflecting the dry and concentrated season. Eleven years has softened and rounded the wine; providing the elegance and depth Domaine A is recognised for. | Reviews | The bloodline here is undisputed. Its an estate with a fine pedigree and OG Tasmanian clout. Coal River Valley cabernet sauvignon matured in new French oak for 30 months. Comforting traditional and familiar aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant pastille with notes of Christmas cake spice cedar leather pencil case cold tea licorice dark chocolate pan juices and earth. Elegant graceful and long of flavour with fine powdery tannins and an extended blackcurrant flare on the exit. A classic. - Dave Brookes Halliday Wine Companion 95100Full bottle just 1198 g. Well done for a wine presumably bottled many years ago From the Stoney Vineyard. Minimal intervention. Aged for 30 months in French barriques and bottled unfined and unfiltered.Dark blackish shaded ruby. Lovely nose Such a pleasure to be reminded of pure varietal Cabernet Sauvignon from a top-quality site Wonderfully fragrant. Sweet start and it does hold its alcohol extremely well. No obvious eucalypt. Im not sure whether if served this blind Id immediately think of Australia. So neat and self-contained. The opposite of flashy. Just pure mature fruit. Long. So well done Its nothing like a California Cab and seems much purer than a red bordeaux. Winemakers Notes
Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon originates from ancient cool climate terroir in Tasmanias historic Stoney Vineyard. It is a wine of absolute dedication built from the ground up according to a rigorous viticultural regime and uncompromising approach to winemaking. Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the finest parcels of fruit each season.It is an assemblage of classic Bordeaux varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Cabernet franc and Petit verdot. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand from old estate vines. Typically veraison will happen in February and picking in mid April. Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted in small batches employing traditional techniques including open vat fermentation regular racking and hand plunging with extended time on lees. It is matured in 100 new French oak barriques for three years and rested in the cellar for four further years or more until ready for release. Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon has a proven record of critical acclaim in company with the great wines of the world. It is recognised in the elite echelon of Australian wine and enjoys a strong following among collectors.

The wine was delivered by GSO Courier early this am and was in perfect shipping condition. The bottle temperature was cool to the touch which is amazing given we have been hitting 37C every day for the last week here in our California summer.

I have put the wine into our temperature controlled bottle storage to let them rest for a week (mostly for the 3 bottles of red). I did put one of the Rosés in the frig which we will try tomorrow because we are out to dinner tonight with friends.
Your Rose of Virginia is my favorite rosé, above French and Californians that we have consumed with Tablas Creek “Dianthus” from near Paso Robles being a second.
Now that we have experienced a shipment from you, I am sure we will order a couple of cases more but will wait until weather is cooler for us and the wine.
