A minimum of any 6 bottles is required for each winery you purchase from. We also require bottles to be purchased in increments of 6 as wines are packed and shipped in 6-bottle cases
This is a sensational Cabernet Sauvignon that is produced from the original forty-year-old vineyards at Squitchy Lane. The vine age and the northly aspect of the vineyard combine to produce fruit with good ripeness levels balanced with a healthy level of natural acidity. The 2022 vintage began with difficult weather that effected flowering resulting in lower yields. However the cool and dry conditions that prevailed throughout summer ensured that outstanding fruit was produced.

| Reviews | From vines planted in 1982. From whats turned out to be an excellent cabernet vintage in the Yarra heres a wine that can hold its own with the best of them. A very bright medium crimson purple this smells terrific with its aromas of cassis and dark cherries violets and pencil shavings from the well-handled oak. On the palate this is both concentrated yet light on its feet at the same time with ripe svelte tannins announcing a wine thats approachable now but will continue to improve for at least a decade. 210 dozen made. 97 points Philip Rich Halliday Wine Companion |

Tasting Notes
An intense deep red in colour with a nose full of flavours of black berry cassis and a touch of spice and cedar oak. The palate is concentrated and packed with dark fruit flavours black currants dark cherry and hints of spice anise chocolate and delicate pencil-shaving oak. The long-refined finish with graceful tannins suggest that the wine will age for ten years or more.
Winemakers Notes
Made from old vine Cabernet Sauvignon which was hand picked destemmed and crushed. It spent 14 days on skins after fermentation was completed before being pressed. Matured in oak with 30 new for 14 months then bottled without fining.

The wine was delivered by GSO Courier early this am and was in perfect shipping condition. The bottle temperature was cool to the touch which is amazing given we have been hitting 37C every day for the last week here in our California summer.

I have put the wine into our temperature controlled bottle storage to let them rest for a week (mostly for the 3 bottles of red). I did put one of the Rosés in the frig which we will try tomorrow because we are out to dinner tonight with friends.
Your Rose of Virginia is my favorite rosé, above French and Californians that we have consumed with Tablas Creek “Dianthus” from near Paso Robles being a second.
Now that we have experienced a shipment from you, I am sure we will order a couple of cases more but will wait until weather is cooler for us and the wine.
