This site is cooler than the rest of the Vale making it an ideal sub-region for white varietals so that they can retain more of their natural acidity.Winemaking The fruit was separated into two different ferments one in tank the other in a combination of one new Austrian oak puncheon and seasoned French oak barriques. The oak portion was fermented using wild yeasts and kept on ferment lees with minimal sulphur with weekly batonnage. The two portions were blended just prior to bottling. Vegan ABV 13.2Production 800 half dozens produced under screwcap.

Tasting Notes
Ripe stone fruit characters flow seamlessly across the palate. Pir is a textural delight time on ferment lees has provided an attractive creamy character to thewine. Use of Austrian and French oak provides a touch of astringency on the finish. A rounded and complete wine crisp acidity cleans the finish and provides great length.

The wine was delivered by GSO Courier early this am and was in perfect shipping condition. The bottle temperature was cool to the touch which is amazing given we have been hitting 37C every day for the last week here in our California summer.

I have put the wine into our temperature controlled bottle storage to let them rest for a week (mostly for the 3 bottles of red). I did put one of the Rosés in the frig which we will try tomorrow because we are out to dinner tonight with friends.
Your Rose of Virginia is my favorite rosé, above French and Californians that we have consumed with Tablas Creek “Dianthus” from near Paso Robles being a second.
Now that we have experienced a shipment from you, I am sure we will order a couple of cases more but will wait until weather is cooler for us and the wine.
