A minimum of any 6 bottles is required for each winery you purchase from. We also require bottles to be purchased in increments of 6 as wines are packed and shipped in 6-bottle cases
The 2023 Estate Blend Pinot Noir is a delicate and accessible expression of a cool-vintage Pinot Noir drawing comparisons to the 2019 but with enhanced elegance. Crafted from a blend of the 75 Home Block and 25 Melba Block the winemaking focused on gentle quick extraction with 20 whole-bunch inclusion and maturation in French oak 20 new to preserve purity and freshness. The resulting wine is light-to-medium-bodied with refreshing acidity showcasing classic red fruit and subtle floral notes.

Tasting Notes
The aroma is immediately appealing and pure offering scents of fresh red cherry cranberry sauce and a delicate violet floral note. Light to medium-bodied the texture is soft and supple. The palate is bright and lively driven by refreshing acidity that makes the wine highly appealing. It finishes clean and focused.
Winemakers Notes
A blend designed for early elegance the fruit was hand-picked on 23 March 2023. Grapes were de-stemmed with 20 whole bunch inclusion. Fermentation utilized an aromatic yeast with a focus on quick gentle extraction. Following a short maceration the wine was pressed and transferred to French oak puncheons with 20 new oak used for maturation to maintain freshness. The wine was bottled by gravity on 06 February 2024.A blend of our two estates 75 Home Block planted in the early 1980s unirrigated 230m above sea level east-facing slope on friable grey loam soils and 25 Melba Block.

The wine was delivered by GSO Courier early this am and was in perfect shipping condition. The bottle temperature was cool to the touch which is amazing given we have been hitting 37C every day for the last week here in our California summer.

I have put the wine into our temperature controlled bottle storage to let them rest for a week (mostly for the 3 bottles of red). I did put one of the Rosés in the frig which we will try tomorrow because we are out to dinner tonight with friends.
Your Rose of Virginia is my favorite rosé, above French and Californians that we have consumed with Tablas Creek “Dianthus” from near Paso Robles being a second.
Now that we have experienced a shipment from you, I am sure we will order a couple of cases more but will wait until weather is cooler for us and the wine.
