A minimum of any 6 bottles is required for each winery you purchase from.
This unashamedly medium bodied Shiraz shows lovely lifted spice, clove,orange peel, liquorice, plum, mulberry, beetroot and earthy notes. The palatedisplays a wonderful core of elegant red/blue fruits, spice and fine tannins. Thelifted fruits on the nose are supported on the palate by a core of mulberry andearthy beetroot notes. Leaving the wine to mature on gross ferment lees hasadded another dimension to the palate. The 2024 SRS Syrah is drinkingbeautifully at its release but will continue to develop added weight andcomplexity over the next 6 months, and then age gracefully for 10 or moreyears.

| Reviews | 95 Points - Wine PilotFrom the Karridale sub-region of Margaret River the fruit comes from the Hamlin Bay Vineyard with vines of thirty years of age. The team include 20 whole bunches and 5 sundried stalks in the fermentation to enhance the complexity. Maturation was in older Burgundy-coopered French oak puncheons for a year. This is a cracking example of just how good Shiraz from Margaret River can be.The colour is a vibrant purple magenta while on the nose we have aromas weaving through notes of plums cranberries violets a touch of vanillin oak spices cassis and aniseed. The wine is supple and seamless and finely balanced with excellent length. Certainly most impressive at the moment but there is so much promise here. The wine maintains its intensity throughout and finishes with fine satiny tannins. Enjoy over the next fifteen plus years. Love it. Ken Gargett |

Winemakers Notes
Selectively machine harvested and handpicked fruit was tipped straight intoopen fermenters. We added 20 whole bunch fruit and 5 sun dried stalksboth designed to give added complexity texture and spice. We inoculated theferment with a Syrah yeast. Once the ferment was active we started to plungeand foot stomp the whole berries and dried stems. We kept the fermentaround 25-26 degrees. After ferment was complete we lightly pressed thefermented skins and transferred the wine into older Burgundy cooperedFrench Oak puncheons for 12 months maturation on yeast lees.

The wine was delivered by GSO Courier early this am and was in perfect shipping condition. The bottle temperature was cool to the touch which is amazing given we have been hitting 37C every day for the last week here in our California summer.

I have put the wine into our temperature controlled bottle storage to let them rest for a week (mostly for the 3 bottles of red). I did put one of the Rosés in the frig which we will try tomorrow because we are out to dinner tonight with friends.
Your Rose of Virginia is my favorite rosé, above French and Californians that we have consumed with Tablas Creek “Dianthus” from near Paso Robles being a second.
Now that we have experienced a shipment from you, I am sure we will order a couple of cases more but will wait until weather is cooler for us and the wine.
