Shipping Wine to Canada
Ordering Australian wine for delivery to Canada involves an additional customs clearance step after your wine arrives in the country. The process varies by province, so here is what you need to know before you order.
Important: Canadian duties, taxes and provincial liquor markups are not included in your Australia Tasting Room order total. These charges are paid separately during the Canadian clearance process.
How Delivery Works
We take care of getting your wine from the winery in Australia to Canada. Once it arrives, you will need to complete the clearance process required by your province.
-
1Your wine leaves Australia
Your order is collected from the winery and sent to Canada by DHL Express.
-
2Your order arrives in Canada
Your shipment then enters the customs and liquor clearance process required by your province.
-
3You complete clearance and pay Canadian charges
Depending on your province, you may be contacted by the provincial liquor authority, a clearance agent or broker, or asked to arrange clearance yourself.
-
4Your wine continues to your delivery address
Once clearance and payment are complete, your order is released for final delivery.
